Makenzie's 4th Birthday

This past saturday we had Makenzies 4th Birthday party! We had a lot of fun! There were 12 little kiddies running around. We got a bounce house and a pinata for the kids. Makenzie had a great time with all her friends and we were happy that everything went smoothly!

My two girls love the bathroom. I think that if they could they would stay in the tub forever. Makenzie likes to check herself out in the mirrior when ever she can and Avery likes to play with the toliet paper

Avery's First Birthday

Avery turned 1 on Jan. 25 and she had a great birthday. She was introduced to chocolate cake and loved it. She also loves getting new toys she has so much fun with the ones she received. Avery is so much fun right now she gets into everything and has a habit of smiling and then doing something she shouldnt.

On tuesday Makenzie had her first dance class and she loved it!

Battered and Bruised

Avery went in for her surgery on Monday. She had something called ptosis were her right lid was droopy. If she didn't get it fixed it could cause either a lazy eye or severe damage to her vision in that eye. We were able to go into the hospital that morning and were out by the afternoon. Avery was pretty upset when she first woke up and she had a lot of gas in her tummy. By the time that we got home she was has happy as can be, you wouldn't have known that she had just gone under. We did learn though through this experience that she is allergic to penicillin and another form of antibiotic. She broke out in rashes and hives all over her body but I guess the good thing was that it didn't itch her. Now the swelling has gone down a tone in her eye and she is starting to look better.

These are some cute pictures of the girls the day before Averys surgery. This was right before church. Avery is getting a little bit more difficult at church. She has become such a wiggle worm! Then there is Makenzie who as long as she as a coloring book we are pretty good.

The Cabin

A few weeks ago we went up to Nick's parents and brothers cabin. We had a great time! We spent the day going 4- wheeling and letting the kids play. Makenzie and I got a little dirty on the ride that we had together.

I was getting a little tired of head bands on Avery so I was trying to think about what I could do with her comb-over. So we have now added the pebbles pony tail to her do's.

Makenzie gets the best bed head ever! The other day she took a nap and here is the picture with the mess that she had on the top of her head. Then the next morning Avery was giving Makenzie a run for her money with bed head.

The Zoo

We were able to spend some time with Makenzie and Avery's cousins, Mikey and Isabel. They had a great time with each other. Makenzie thought that Mikey was the coolest and was laughing at everything that he said. Then Makenzie and Isabel took a ride on the carousel and had a great time.

LIttle Avery

Here are a few new pictures of Avery. She had to get her eyes dialated and she got these sunglasses that she needed to wear on the way home. Then a few days latter she was getting ready for bed and feel asleep in her bumbo, if you ask me that looks a little uncomfortable. Avery loves to roll over the floor of her room and I think that she could do it all day. But yesterday I found that she rolled all the way under her crib and was trying to pull her toy boxes over.

Makenzie loves her pool that she got for birthday. We spend a lot of time outside so this pool gets used everyday. When she thinks that I am not listening she pretends that she is Ariel and she acts out little scenes in the pool. I think that it is very entertaining.

Trip to San Diego

Hello Everyone! We just finishes a week long trip to San Deigo and had a great time. We spent a lot of time at the beach and the pool. Makenzie has decided that she loves to jump of the side of the pool into her Daddy's arms. I think that we have a little fish in our family, she loves the water. While we were there we went to Seaworld and had a great time. Makenzie had a chance to feed the Dolphins and see Shamu. She still hasnt stopped talking about it yet!
